My favorite children's book would have to be The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss. I really enjoyed this book as a child, due to the fact the there are many colorful and interesting illustrations, and it is quite a good book for a children's book. Dr. Seuss always has a way to make a children's book that is also interesting and and entertaining for an adult, considering most of them are incredibly simple and boring. Try reading to the Scooby-Doo pop-up book for a couple of children a few times a month.
Since I had read this book, or had it read to me, I had practically memorized it. Once, my grandmother came all the way to spend some time with my family from Alaska. She wanted to read me a story, and since I had always like The Lorax, she wanted to read that to me. Now, my grandma is quite aged, and so when she mispronounced one of the lines in the book, I corrected her and proceeded to read the rest of the book to her, all from memorization. When I finished I looked over and found that she was a sleep, and snoring slightly.
